Preparing your Videotapes for transfer to DVD is simple, if you follow these steps

1. Be sure you have an acceptable Videotape Format The video formats we accept include: VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, DV & Hi-8. Please label and number your tapes for our help in identification.	Pricing

2. Select the video clips you want transferred to DVD (see section 8) Be sure to identify the clips you want transferred. It is important to follow the instructions in section 8 below. We will digitize and transfer your video tapes to DVD, up to 120 minutes per DVD.	$44.95

3. (Optional) Decide if you want to use chapters on your DVD - Your DVD can be separated into different subjects (we call them chapters). For example, we can record all your vacation videos and index each as a chapter. - Those chapter titles will appear on the opening screen of your DVD like a menu. You can choose to go directly to a specific chapter by clicking on the menu with your remote. - We will insert a title at each chapter point in your video at no charge.	$5 per chapter

4. Decide on your DVD's Title This will appear on the DVD label and on the opening screen when you load the DVD. __________________________________________________________________________________ (Examples; Bill & Jan's Wedding, Our Florida Vacation, Operation 2000 Training, etc.	no charge

5. 6. Decide how many DVD's you want How many DVD's do you want us to record? _________	$35 per additional copy

7. (Optional) Decide how many VHS tapes you want If a friend or family member doesn't have DVD, we can record a VHS tape instead. How many VHS tapes do you want us to record? _________	$15 each

8. List the Video Clips you want to use
Please identify the clips you want to use on your DVD or VHS Tape.
To get an accurate time code from your VCR, completely rewind your video tape, then reset the time code to zero. If you don't know how to reset it, just turn your VCR off and on.

9. Please read these Terms & Conditions and sign to indicate your approval

Terms and Conditions: When submitting videotapes, films, slides or any other media to us whether for conversion, video transfer or for any other reason, client acknowledges and agrees that The Data Detective and any individual or business affiliated with The Data Detective shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such materials following receipt and during processing of such materials (even if due to our fault or negligence) and that the client’s sole remedy shall be replacement with a similar amount of blank video tape or film. The Data Detective makes no other warranty and assumes no other risk and shall not be liable for any indirect special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from client’s use of our services. This agreement excludes specifically any counteroffers by client including (without limitation) statements of value in excess of replacement cost of a similar product or requests for special handling. Client warrants that the videotape, film, photos, slides or other media submitted to The Data Detective for processing is not protected by a third party copyright owner or if protected, the client has obtained permission of such third party copyright holder to make copies. Client also agrees to protect and indemnify The Data Detective (or it's assignees) from any costs related to copyright infringement.
